Case studyThe traffic emissions are generally monitored by the traditional fixed reference stations. However, those stations are not only expensive to operate, but also unable to monitor emission sources at a close range. This limited their effectiveness in studying local pollution problems. To better understand the traffic emissions in Milan, Italy, the city's environmental agency AMAT (Agenzia Mobilità Ambiente e Territorio) deployed three Sapiens MAS-AF300 in the city to evaluate the advanced air quality sensors compact station’s capability to detect exposure to vehicular traffic-related emission

MAS-AF300 is the flagship model of Sapiens Mini Air Station (MAS) series products for high performance and long-term outdoor air quality monitoring with integrated autonomous data quality control capabilities. The product can measure criteria air pollutants including particulate matters (PM₁, PM₂.₅, PM₁₀, TSP), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), ozone (O₃), carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO₂) and nitric oxide (NO) with near reference data quality under all weather conditions.
